The Final Update…

That is until we launch the site. First I want to thank everyone who has been with us from since the beginning of Hunting Square. It has been such a great journey to be on over the past two years and we’re so thrilled to have to community site almost ready for launch. As we transition from a classifieds only website into the community website that we’ve been developing – We thought it would be best to cue you in on what’s really going on…

So when we originally launched Hunting Square in 2008 to be a classifieds only website similar to a craigslist for outdoorsmen. We grew at a good pace, which allowed us to grow through other outlets on the site such as adding outfitter pages and real estate listings. The site grew from having around 200 members within the first 6 months to now reaching over 1400 members.

So what next? Stage 1 Pre – Release (est. 3-5 weeks) – Our campaign to reach outfitters and guides is about to begin. We’re headed out to find the professionals out in the fields that can use our new technology to help improve their business. We’re also in the process of working on partnerships and developments that are going to make the new and improved site different from the rest. As we go through this stage, we will be building content throughout the site, although it will not yet be available to you.

Stage 2 Beta Launch (est. 2 weeks) - We will host a Private beta launch for selected members to access the new site. We will include all of our original members that have been with us since the beginning. We will also select a certain number of new oncoming members to preview the new site. During this time, we ask that you point our any errors or suggestions that we should know about. We will have a gift waiting for you on the other side!

Keep in mind that you will have access to the website before anyone else!

Stage 3 Launch (est. May 1st) - This is the actual launch of the website. Full access is allowed throughout the entire site to all the public.

Future thoughts? Yeah, we’ve been throwing around some new ideas for the future. We will release this new projects as soon as we have it ready for you to sign up. Est. April 6th 2010. Hint: it might have something to do with water…?
