Our 14 000 acre private game reserve is
situated in the extreme north of South Africa,
just south of the Limpopo-river. Set in the Savannah
ecological biome it is endowed with a pleasant
semi-desert climate with warm, sunny days and cool
nights.
The diverse topography consists of a pleasant, gently
undulating, mixed-tree bushveld traversed by numerous dry
watercourses, with quartzite hills completing the picture.
Our insect, animal, plant and bird life is rich in variety with more
than twenty historically-endemic game-species and more than
forty endemic tree-species present. Playing the thrilling
'Hide-and-Seek' – game against your quarry with the
home-advantage in his favour makes the hunt an unforgettably
exciting experience!
Enjoy our magnificent sunsets and allow the crystal-clear
kaleidoscope of stars, the fascinating amber-glow of
the night play havoc with your
imagination. Or just relax and
enjoy the eagle's view from
the cave-studded sandstone hill,
so beloved by our roaming
resident Leopard – the symbol
of RIEBELTON SAFARIS.
There are two lodges to choose from - each with its own special
character. Catering for bigger groups, our first lodge
consists of five, two-bed Rondawels, a separate
open-sided dining-room / kitchen-complex
and four separate shower / toilet –
complexes. Where-as the first lodge
is tucked away in a stand of purely
endemic vegetation, the second, more
luxurious lodge is located close to the
base of our Leopard hill, with two fully
equipped, en-suite Rondawels, a separate
enclosed dining room / kitchen - complex and a
cool, refreshing swimming pool close at hand.
Accommodating maximum six guests at a time, this
lodge caters for the more private, luxurious taste of the individual
or small family.
Bring your loved ones along to share in the
tranquillity and splendour or alternatively allow us to
arrange for additional activities and / or trips to nearby
tourist attractions. Plains game and buffalo hunting are
catered for. We will arrange for the skinning and field-
preparation of your trophies to a high standard and
deliver your trophies to a reputable taxidermist.
